NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2011

In mid-February Mariusz Prószyński - Intratel Vice President of Board for the second time took part in the international fairs of the entrepreneurs in the Eastern Poland IT and LGU sectors - NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2011 held in Mumbai. The fair was combined with the cycle of conferences brought together the largest IT and BPO companies from India, USA and Great Britain, but also from Poland, MENA countries, Colombia, South Africa, such as McKinsey & Company, ICICI Bank Ltd., India Hewett Packard, Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, KPMG, Steria Group, Zensar Technologies, CSC, Infotech, Wipro, IBM, Infotech, cognizant, Genpact, AT & T, Cisco.



Eastern Polish companies, as one of a few countries were allowed by NASSCOM to be presented to potential customers. The Eastern Poland panel, entitled Exploring Europe with Eastern Poland was attended by Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, deputy chairman and CEO of Zensar Technologies, Dariusz Karwowski, Counsellor of The Trade and Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy in New Delhi, Robert Seges, Head of Service Department of Foreign Investment in PAIiIZ S.A. and Piotr Fałek – President of Board in CSF Poland.

During the general session of the NASSCOM the development trends of the sector, the geographical locations of new interesting projects, the future of Cloud Computing and the rivalry between China and India in the BPO sector were discussed.


IT and BPO sectors are the main sector of the Indian economy, employing more than 100 million people with turnover of over $ 1 billion annually. There are about 300 of companies generating annual turnover of U.S. $ 100-200 million in India, operating on a global scale in European countries.


Polish representatives met with the East Indian companies during the special B2B session, held in Bangalore. The meeting was also attended by the Polish Ambassador in New Delhi, Prof. Piotr Kłodkowski and Mr. Ashok Kumar Manoli, Principal Secretary for Information Science and Technology of Karnataka Province.


Participation in the mission was financed within the „Program Promocji Gospodarczej Polski Wschodniej” project financed from the means of Program Operacyjny Rozwój Polski Wschodniej 2007-2013, Activity I.4 Promocja i Współpraca, component Promocja, basing on the Agreement between Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości and Polska Agencja Informacji i Inwestycji Zagranicznych S.A. regarding financing the Project No POPW.01.04.01-00-001/09.
